DNB Course

Post graduate DNB (Respiratory Medicine) Course: The Institute is recognized centre for post-graduate DNB (Respiratory Diseases) three years degree course since 1999. The method of selection of the candidates is as per the guidelines of National Board of Examinations issued from time to time. (For details see Bulletin of Information, National Board of Examination). Dr. Rupak Singla, Head, Department of TB & Respiratory Diseases is incharge of DNB Course.
The Diplomate qualifications awarded by the National Board of Examinations have been equated with post graduate degree and post doctoral level qualifications of Universities by the Government of India, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Now, w.e.f. 2009, the institute has been accredited for ten DNB (Respiratory Diseases) three years degree course seats per year. Regular teaching activities such as seminars, journal club, faculty lectures, external faculty lectures, grand case presentation, mortality meetings, pathological conference, radiological conference, bed-side clinical round are routinely carried out.
Emoluments
The candidates enrolled for training for DNB courses will be designated as Junior Resident (DNB). They will be given salary equivalent to that of Junior Resident as per the rules of the Institute. Reservation of seats of SC/ST/OBC will be as per the rules and the roster maintained by the Institute for Junior Resident posts.
