  Department is providing diagnostic imaging services to institute with state of art diagnostic equipments. Department is having following equipments –

Ultrasound machine (Siemens, G-50)

Ultrasound machine (ALOKA JAPAN, Model SSD-630)

Heliophos-D, 500mA X-ray machine + Fluroscopy unit (SIEMENS)

E-4M 70mm Odelcha Camera (Siemens)

Nanomobile 100mA Portable X-ray Machine (Siemens)

100mm MMR X-Ray Machine in mobile van (TROPHY, FRANCE)

600mA X-ray Machine (Listem Corporation KOREA)

Automatic X-ray Film Processor (CP-345, ELK Corporation JAPAN)

Computed Radiography System (Agfa, Belgium)

    Department is carrying out conventional radiological imaging as well as image guided (Ultrasound & CT guided) diagnostic procedures such as FNACs, Biopsy, Aspiration, Abscess drainage etc. Department is providing X-ray facility round the clock on all working days. Ultrasound and CT Scan is available from 9.00AM to 4.00PM from Monday to Friday and 9.00am to 1.00pm on Saturday.

    Recently department has procured new computed radiography system for providing digital radiography to patients free of cost.

CT SCAN     

    

   A whole body spiral CT scan (GE Prospeed CT scanner system, WIPRO )is  functioning well in the institute since 18th Aug.1998. This is state of the art technology is capable of performing CT Scan of the Head, Chest, Abdomen and other parts of the body. The Institute is providing its services of CT Scan to other Government, semi-government and other health institutions. For the safety of patients, Institute is providing non-ionic contrast media free of cost.This costly diagnostic modality has now come within the reach of poor TB patients as they are offered this facility free of cost in selected cases.

 

    Department is also involved in teaching activities to DNB students and HIV fellowships.
